Following a 20 year career working in senior procurement, delivery and programme management within leading global financial service businesses, James decided to form The Consulting Group in 2007. He noticed a need from businesses for procurement expertise with the capability to understand stakeholders’ requirements and translate them in to tangible benefits.

Since then TCG has delivered procurement services to a number clients. Activities undertaken range from strategic selection exercises, negotiations with vendors, identifying and running cost optimisation programmes, dealing with complex sourcing models and structures (e.g. JV’s, partnerships, profit share, multi-jurisdiction leasing, primed contract wrappers) and the outsourced operation of procurement services for clients as required.
